Careers at Solid Projects

Project Manager

Most agency work does not fail on talent. It fails on the gap between what a client expected and what actually arrived. Closing that gap is this job. You will run client projects from kick-off to sign-off, keep designers, developers and copywriters pointed in the same direction, and make sure nobody is guessing about where things stand.

The role

What the job actually is

You will own a portfolio of client projects across websites, marketing campaigns, brand work and content. These are your projects and your client relationships from the start. That means scoping the work properly, holding the timeline, spotting trouble before it becomes a late delivery, and being the person the client speaks to when they want to know how things are going. You will work closely with our existing project manager and report to operations.

What you will do

  • Run client projects end to end: kick-off, scope, timeline, delivery and sign-off.
  • Keep ClickUp accurate so everyone can see what is due, what is blocked and what is done.
  • Brief the team properly, then protect them from moving goalposts once work is underway.
  • Hold the weekly rhythm: status updates to clients, check-ins with the team, nothing going quiet.
  • Spot scope creep early and raise it while it is still a conversation instead of an invoice dispute.
  • Chase the small things that hold up delivery: content from clients, approvals, feedback, access.

Minimum requirements

  • Two years or more running projects, ideally in an agency, studio or in-house marketing team.
  • Confident with clients. You can deliver awkward news early and keep the relationship intact.
  • Comfortable with project software. We run on ClickUp, and you will be in it every day.
  • Enough understanding of web and marketing work to know when a timeline is unrealistic.
  • Organised by instinct. Nothing lives only in your head.
  • The judgement to know which problems to solve yourself and which to escalate.
01

Someone who can hold several projects in their head at once and still know exactly what is due on each one.

02

Someone clients trust. You keep them informed before they have to ask, and you are calm when a deadline moves.

03

Someone who chases the loose ends. Approvals, feedback and content that has gone quiet, without being asked to.

Tell us about a project that went sideways

Every project manager has one. What happened, what you did about it, and what you would do differently now tells us far more than a list of the tools you have used.
